He started doing standup comedy at the age of 17 to avoid working for his family’s funeral home. Jourdain has been a part of various festivals including\, The New York Comedy Festival (New York’s Funniest)\, Laughing Skull Festival\, and Laugh Your Asheville Off. Jourdain was also a back-to-back winner of The Ultimate Comic Challenge\, and a finalist in The Carolina’s Funniest Competition as well as a finalist at the NBC Stand Up Showcase. Jourdain was previously a writer and actor on BET’s sketch comedy show\, 50 Central and a writer on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Jourdain was also recently a panelist on CBS/Paramount+’s After Midnight with Taylor Tomlinson. Jourdain has also found success on social media through his wildly popular character Gangsta Chef.
