The recording features Pizzarelli’s trio—bassist Mike Karn and pianist Isaiah J. Thompson—performing timeless songs made famous by Bennett with warmth\, swing\, and lyrical beauty. \nFor Pizzarelli\, Bennett was more than an influence. His father\, guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli\, frequently performed with the iconic singer\, and John later had the opportunity to accompany Bennett himself. The admiration was mutual; Bennett attended several of Pizzarelli’s performances and even sketched the artwork that appears on the album’s cover. \nReflecting on Bennett’s enduring impact\, Pizzarelli says\, “Tony’s artistry was just so magnificent. And he was able to continually reinvent himself.” The trio will tour this repertoire worldwide throughout 2026 and 2027.
