Join us for a leisurely half mile walk through time, as we discuss the ecological and cultural factors that have influenced human use over time in this unique and beautiful coastal location. Our 40-45 minute walk begins and ends at SSC and will touch on coastal glacial geology; the Gulf of Maine; the long and ongoing history of stewardship by Indigenous peoples; and the European settlement, military, resort, and fishing eras.
Space is limited; please email info@sscnh.org with number attending or request to sign up at the admissions desk on the day of the walk. There is no cost to go on the history walk but Odiorne Point State Park does charge an entry fee for all visitors.
