Halloween Week Fun

Seacoast Science Center
570 Ocean Blvd
Rye, NH 03870-2104

In the spirit of Halloween and sustainability, turn your used plastic containers into a marine-themed pumpkin decoration and add it to our upcycled pumpkin patch. Or, bring your container (no glass allowed) and get creative at our craft supply table. Come in costume, join the fun, and discover what other surprises we have planned for you. Prizes given!

The tentative daily program schedule for Halloween Fun Week is as follows. To take best advantage of what is happening in nature and in our tanks, updates are made online by 9:30am each day.

11am: Spooky Science. Join us for a spooktacular Halloween-inspired program! We may create some slippery slime or an ocean animal mask, or learn what animals look like from the inside out with our special cards.

1:30pm: Halloween Discovery. Come learn about bat stars, spider crabs, or vampire squid! If the weather is right, we may hike to the Odiorne Point State Park cemetery to learn about the people who inhabited this land before us!

3:30pm: Marine Mammal Skeletons. Learn about the anatomy and physiology of a seals or harbor porpoise through a guided puzzle activity using real bones!

All programs free for members and included with paid admission for non-members. Reservations are not required.
