Growing Playfully provides mothers the opportunity to come together, with their children, for educational and community engagement. The goal is to help educate and support moms while their children play. This group will meet every Thursday at 3:30pm, near the Swasey Parkway Gazebo, during the Exeter Farmers Market.
Nature Baskets, sensory, and S.T.E.M. play, will be provided for children to explore developmentally appropriate manipulatives. While children engage in play and peer interactions, Mom can enjoy adult conversation and our Guest of the Week.
*This program runs about an hour, with about 30 minutes for our GUEST SPEAKER and about the same to mingle. Growing Playfully is open to Mamas and children of all ages.
$2 suggested donation per child
Join at Growing Playfully with Playful Garden on Thursday July 11th at 3:30pm near the Swazey Parkway Gazebo as we welcome SPEACIAL GUEST Beate King to teach a class on Reiki for the parent and child
Beate is a Early Childhood Teacher and Reiki Master in the Usui Tradition. She practices and teaches Reiki. Beate teaches Reiki to parents as a peaceful, respectful way to balance the child’s and parent’s energy. Reiki energy balancing is deeply relaxing and is a helpful tool to weather the storms that often disrupt a families peace.
Playful Garden believes in child-led open play. This type of play will allow the child to investigate their ideas while exploring impulses. Caregivers and facilitators can ask thought provoking questions and provide tools in a way that still lets the child lead, inquire, and discover for themselves. Being immersed in nature, we will get to experience the changing of the seasons and the different materials and weather they offer.
*Check our Facebook page for the rare occurrence that we would have to cancel
