The Women’s Alliance at Greenland’s Community Congregational Church will hold a 3-day Rummage Sale on May 2, 3 and 4. The sale will open with early-bird shopping on Thursday, May 2 from 5-7 pm, then continues on Friday, May 3 from 9 am – 7 pm, and Saturday, May 4 from 9 am – 12 noon. The rummage sale will be held at the Greenland Parish House at 44 Post Road in Greenland.
Items for sale include gently used clothing for women, men and children, as well as household items, books, toys, puzzles and more. Clothing is all priced per bag; other items are priced individually. Sandwiches and beverages will also be for sale. This semi-annual event raises money for a variety of programs at the church and in the community.
Community Congregational Church is a member of the United Church of Christ and was founded in 1706. The church’s sanctuary at 10 Church Lane was built 263 years ago and is a familiar landmark at the corner of Route 151 and Portsmouth Avenue. Sunday services are held at 10 am with Sunday School and childcare. The church is also a founding congregation of Seacoast Family Promise, runs a weekly food pantry, and is involved in a number of local, national and international mission efforts.
