The Women’s Alliance of Community Congregational Church in Greenland will be hosting three chowder luncheons at the Greenland Parish House. Each lunch will feature fish chowder and corn chowder served with homemade bread, coffee or tea, and choice of homemade pie slice for dessert. The price is just $8 per person and take-out is available.
Chowder luncheons are open to the public and are held at the Greenland Parish House at 44 Post Road from 11:30 am – 1 pm on Tuesday, February 26; Tuesday, March 12 (Election Day); and Tuesday, March 26. These luncheons are held to promote fellowship and community by sharing a common meal together, and proceeds benefit a variety of local charitable projects led by the Women’s Alliance.
Community Congregational Church is a member of the United Church of Christ and was founded in 1706. The church’s sanctuary at 10 Post Road was built 262 years ago and is a familiar landmark at the corner of Route 151 and Portsmouth Avenue. Sunday services are held at 10 am with Sunday School and childcare available. The church’s parish hall and offices are located in the Greenland Parish House at 44 Post Road.
Led by Rev. Robert Fellows, Community Congregational Church is also a founding congregation of Seacoast Family Promise (formerly known as Seacoast Interfaith Hospitality Network), runs a weekly food pantry, and is involved in a number of local, national and international mission efforts.
