Granite State Choral Society and Nashua Choral Society present Mozart’s Requiem in D Minor. The joint choir of approximately 90 voices will be accompanied by Symphony NH. Under the direction of guest conductor, Anne Watson Born, this exciting program with feature soloists Erin M. Smith, soprano; Emily Jaworski, mezzo-soprano; Nick DeFrancesco, tenor; and Mark Andrew Cleveland, bass.
Performances will be held on Saturday May 18 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 19, at 3 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 34 South Main Street, Rochester. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door; Student admission with ID verification is $10. The Granite State Choral Society is a non-auditioned community chorus dedicated to presenting quality choral performances, ranging in styles from classical to secular, and to promoting the appreciation of the choral arts. The members come from all walks of life, from age 12 on up, and range from experienced singers to novices just discovering the joys of choral singing.
The Nashua Choral Society (NCS) is a non-auditioned choir composed of community members from the greater Nashua area dedicated to bringing high quality classical and contemporary choral music to the public.
Symphony NH was founded in 1923 and is New Hampshire’s oldest professional orchestra. Their mission is to inspire and enlighten through exceptional live music.
