Halloween is truly a maker’s holiday, and we love it! To share the love every year we offer Free Costume-Building Nights to encourage people to go above and beyond for the costume!
Our Classroom space and Electronics Lab spaces are open for use during these nights from 5-8pm. Members and volunteers will be around to work on their costumes and help you with yours!
Each night we will have experienced makers that can show you something they’ve learned if you want to incorporate it into your costume. We will post about the details as we get things lined up! So far we have:
11th – Sewing Costumes and Yarn Wig Making
18th – Adding Lights and Circuits
We will have many tools available for use for guests, like the following:
Want to use one of these but don’t know how? Just ask!
We also have materials on hand for you to use! For example:
Electronics components like LEDs, battery packs, motors, controllers, and more!
Fabrics, leather, felt
Lots of scrap plywood, pine, and exotic woods
Suggested donation for these nights is $5, and all donations will go to the Portsmouth Halloween Parade.
