The Rye Driftwood Garden Club’s annual Holiday Greens Workshop and Sale will take place Saturday, December 9th at the Rye Congregational Church. Dozens of fresh, one-of-a-kind holiday arrangements will be carefully hand made by the members in the morning. They will be available for purchase between 12 pm and 3:30 that afternoon.
The workshop offers original arrangements for everyone and every home. Garden club members raid their gardens for fresh greens and native dried materials to create arrangements for table and floor, swags for front doors, gates and fences, large and small boxwood trees, candle rings and outdoor arrangements. Prices start as little as $5, and many sizes are available. In addition, bundles of greens and handmade bows may be purchased. A Holiday Treasures table offers many items to enhance your home or give as a fun gift.
In addition, the ever-popular boxwood trees may be preordered on the club’s website at https://www.ryenhgardenclub.org/holiday-greens-sale. The trees are made from locally grown boxwood and are ready for you to decorate to match your holiday décor. Prices are $35 for a large tabletop boxwood tree and $18 for teacup size. The deadline for preordering is Dec. 1st.
All purchases help fund the club’s giving back programs. RDGC awards scholarships to horticulture majors at the Thompson School at UNH each year, and yearly landscaping grants help area organizations beautify public spaces.
