The Dover Art Walk continues on Friday, June 1, from 4pm – 8pm. This month’s walk features stops in 15 locations, all within walking distance, in Downtown Dover, as well as music at The Art Center, throughout the Washington St. Mill, the Cochecho courtyard, and the Franklin courtyard. This month, Earcraft music is sponsoring music, featuring The Joshua Incident, The Taylor River Band, Chris Guzikowski and Brian Munger Music, Jazz guitarist Steve Carter and the a cappella group Mixtape.
The work of many local artists will be on display, and artists will be on site in a number of locations to discuss their work. One featured artist this month is Aaron Stanley who will be opening his show Gravitas at The Art Center in the Washington St. Mill. Aaron is a painter and sculptor who has been specializing of late in kinetic art. Geometric shapes and abstract organic forms will catch the slightest breezes and self-choreograph an ever-changing dance.
The Sun will shine late into the evening, setting at 8:19 PM; if Mother Nature co-operates, this promises to be a perfect late-Spring event in the heart of Dover.
The Dover Art Walk is a Dover Main Street event, run by the Dover Art Walk sub-committee including RSP Studio, Dover Business Industrial Development Authority, and D Graphics.
