SUMMARY:Community Seed Swap at the Nooney Farm
DESCRIPTION:Piscataqua Seed Project is holding a seed swap at the Kittery Land Trust’s Nooney Farm on Sunday March 2 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. \nLocated at 22 Stevenson Road in Kittery\, the seed exchange will take place in one of the farm’s greenhouses. \nAttendees are encouraged to bring seeds saved from their own garden—or unused seeds they have purchased—to share with others and donate to the community seed bank. Our seeds are free but donations to support the seed bank will be gladly accepted at the event. \nThe Piscataqua Seed Project is a community-based organization whose mission is to empower people to grow food locally and save heirloom seeds for future generations. We encourage the sharing of skills and knowledge and believe that a healthy food system is critical for creating resilient communities and connecting us to our cultural heritage. \nNooney Farm is owned and operated by the Kittery Land Trust and includes a Giving Garden where volunteers grow produce for donation to local food pantries.
