Shaina Schwartz has been performing and teaching throughout New England for over 10 years. An attendee of the Boston Youth Moves program at Jeannette Neill Dance Studio, she went on to study music and theater at the Hartt School of Music in Hartford, CT. A former resident artist at the award-winning children’s theater, The Peacock Players, and dance captain/co-choreographer with the Boston Tap Company, Shaina is now the primary tap instructor at Boston University and multiple prestigious Greater Boston area studios. She is the Artistic Director of the New England based educational dance company, Touche Taps, which focuses on comprehensive music, percussive dance and composition training, working with over 200 dancers, ages 7 to 65+, every week!
Raquel Jennings is a classically trained singer and actress born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. She currently lives in Baltimore, MD where she earned her B.A. and M.A. in Music from Morgan State University. As a classically trained soprano, Raquel has had the privilege of performing in multiple choral groups as a featured soloist and in ensemble. Most recently, she performed in the snowflake chorus of the Nutcracker at the Hippodrome Theatre and has sung on the Grammy nominated Leonard Bernstein Mass recording with the Baltimore Symphony orchestra under Marin Alsop. Raquel has graced stages all across the U.S. and internationally, including the World’s Fair in Beijing, China but her true passion is theater!
Some of her favorite musical theater credits include Ragtime (Sarah), Little Shop of Horrors (Chiffon) ,The Color Purple (Nettie) and Blues In The Night (The Girl) to name a few. Some other credits include Aida (Amneris u/s), Sister Act (Michelle u/s), Memphis, Jesus Christ Superstar and Porgy & Bess.
