SUMMARY:A Conversation with Dr. Temple Grandin at The Music Hall
DESCRIPTION:KEYNOTE SPEAKER AT SEACOAST LITFEST \nhttps://www.themusichall.org/seacoastlitfest2026/ \nTICKETS\n$30; $35; $40; $45 \nTemple Grandin is a professor of animal science at Colorado State University\, and she has been a pioneer in improving the handling and welfare of farm animals. Temple’s achievements are remarkable because she was an autistic child. At age two\, she had no speech and all the signs of severe autism. Many hours of speech therapy and intensive teaching enabled Temple to learn speech. Inspired by her high school science teacher and her aunt on her ranch in Arizona\, Temple was motivated to study and pursue a career as a scientist and livestock equipment designer. \nABOUT SEACOAST LITFEST\nAn inspiring multi-day celebration\, the Seacoast LitFest brings together bestselling authors\, thought leaders\, and curious readers for an unforgettable literary experience on New Hampshire’s Seacoast. From lively book chats and author talks to a vibrant book fair and community events\, the festival invites audiences of all ages to connect. Presented by New Hampshire Public Radio and The Music Hall\, two of the state’s leading voices for storytelling and culture.
