Numerous area bands will rock to honor a fallen officer at Wally’s Pub in Hampton on Sunday, Jan. 25.
Brentwood Police Officer Stephen Arkell was shot and killed while responding to a domestic disturbance in May 2014. This year, during National Police Week, Arkell’s name will be revealed on the “Wall of the Fallen” at the Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, D.C.
Arkell’s family members and several Brentwood police officers hope to attend the National Police Week event in May. The Brentwood Police Association is trying to raise $15,000 to help fund the trip.
As part of that fundraising effort, Wally’s will host Brentwood Strong II, an all-day concert beginning at noon on Sunday. Among the live acts performing at the show are Joe Leary, Tip the Scale, Tester, British Steel, Flight 666, Among the Living, Die Diva Die, Derailer, and others.
