The talented, popular New Hampshire Gay Men’s Chorus (NHGMC) performs its spectacular 19th annual spring concert series, “New Love, Lost Love, Old Love, True Love,” in Portsmouth on Saturday, May 20, at Christ Episcopal Church of Portsmouth, 1035 Lafayette Road. Showtime 7:30 pm.
Don’t miss this musical Lovefest. Something new. Something lost. Something old. Something true. NHGMC’s talented singers and team of accompanists will touch your heart as the chorus performs a delightful program of some of the most poignant, sentimental — and yes, some fun and spirited — love songs ever composed. All in beautiful four-part harmony. Treat yourself and your family to this special show.
At the threshold of its 20th anniversary, NHGMC is a not-for-profit musical and community-service group that performs two concert series per year in at least four New Hampshire cities, as well as many special outreach concerts and performances for civic organizations. The chorus is highly respected all over the state and is the recipient of several written commendations from New Hampshire governors and the mayors of New Hampshire cities. In 2016, WMUR-TV’s New Hampshire Chronicle featured a story on the chorus and its music. If you can’t make the Portsmouth show, there are three other concerts: May 6 (Nashua), May 7 (Concord), and May 21 (Manchester).
